199 Bishopsgate occupies a key site on the corner of Bishopsgate and Primrose Street. The improvements include reconfiguring the central core to increase the flexibility of layout and subdivision of the office space. The building’s identity has been strengthened by relocating the entrance onto Bishopsgate with a new double height entrance hall and reception, creating a sleek and contemporary environment for occupiers.<\/p>\n

The design exceeds energy standards for new buildings, and demonstrates what can be achieved by using low energy techniques and modern control methods, including daylight dimming, variable speed fan coil systems and reglazing with energy efficient glass. <\/p>\n

British Land and Blackstone pursue a policy of sustainable development, demonstrated at 199 Bishopsgate by the building’s BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘B’ and a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n
